Tradeshow Marketing Manager

Position Summary:

This position reports to the Group Manager and is responsible for the marketing, planning, coordination and budget of all Global tradeshows. This role does not have direct reports, but requires interaction with various levels of management in marketing, product development, sales and Key Opinion Leaders in the industry.  This team member will contribute to the overall team success by identifying problems and proactively seeking improvement and creative solutions.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Taking full ownership of Plan and implement Globus participation at Surgeon Society conferences and trade shows (hotel, flights, booth services, shipping etc.)
  • Developing and presenting pre and- post-show reports to management and Senior Executives
  • Working with management and tradeshow vendors to ensure implementation is within budget and on-time
  • Managing on-site activities including, booth set-up, dismantle, reception, workshops, hands-on labs and other promotional activities
  • Collaborating with various team members to develop marketing content strategies according to tradeshow audience  
  • Collaborating with Product Development to develop displays that best represent our technology
  • Collaborating with Surgeon KOL’s to ensure content of workshops is effective and within regulatory and compliance guidelines
  • Maintaining all Exhibits trackers, reports and calendars
  • Coordinating and keeping track of tradeshow inventory and shipping schedules to ensure timely arrival of materials at tradeshows
  • Adhering to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies. Ensure Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
  • Representing the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties of Globus

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • 3-5 years’ experience working in relevant meeting and event management and/or tradeshow experience; Bachelor's Degree
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time (US & International); Willingness to travel on weekends and holidays
  • Exceptional sourcing and negotiating skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, decision making and customer service skills
  • Tech savvy, with the ability to quickly learn new technologies, build standard templates, processes, and deliverables
  • Ability to quickly learn scientific and technical information
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive with the ability to “think on your feet” to find the best solutions
  • Creative thinker with acute attention to detail within demanding deadlines 
  • Self-starter; able to work effectively as an individual contributor and or a team player 

The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit:

  • Tradeshow booth installation & Dismantle experience for booth larger than 200sqf
  • Marketing content development experience
  • International event and meeting planning experience
  • Medical Device and/or pharma industry marketing or event management
