Position Summary:

The Engineering Technician I is responsible for performing engineering related tasks within the discipline of the hiring department under the guidance of more senior department personnel. Learning and developing additional skills to assist the production department to become more efficient. 

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Follow the Company’s policies and procedures.
  • Able to learn machine programming (as applicable within the discipline of the hiring department).
  • Occasionally setting up and operating production equipment as needed to either troubleshoot programs or prove out processes.
  • Provide suggestions on how to improve product quality and throughput.
  • Performing all work in accordance with oral instructions in conformance with company standards including, safety, workmanship, and good housekeeping practices
  • Adhering to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies. Ensure Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
  • Representing the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties of Branch Medical Group

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • One of the following: machining technology degree, mechanical engineering degree or a minimum of three years of hands-on experience as a department lead or set up role within the discipline of the hiring department.
  • Understanding of the operations within the discipline of the hiring department.
  • Capable of utilizing inspection equipment to verify products produced within the discipline of the hiring department.
  • Possess the ability to work under the guidance of an Engineering Technician II or Manufacturing Engineer.
  • Be well organized and possesses the ability to multi-task as required
  • Team player, open to new ideas and teamwork, self-motivated individual, willingness to increase personal knowledge and value.
  • Excellent communication skills
