Position Summary: 

Reporting to the Senior Vice President - Business Development and Investor Relations, this position is responsible for supporting the company’s Strategy and M&A initiatives and strategic planning including financial, market, and operational analysis. The Director – Business Development and Investor Relations is a business and functional expert with experience managing multiple projects, departments and outside relationships. Creative analysis, independent thought, and a proactive approach to adding value to the organization are key elements of this position.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Financial

  • Financial modeling for M&A, joint ventures, project development and financing activities
  • Work up detailed business scenarios to evaluate targeted opportunities and present to senior management

Strategic Planning

  • Serve as an integral member of company’s strategic planning effort to identify, assess, and prioritize growth opportunities
  • Take increasing responsibility in leading screening assessments

Market Research and Analysis

  • Competitor analysis
  • Industry trends in key target markets
  • Assessment of alternative business models and potential new markets

Investor Relations

  • Recommend institutional investor targeting plans and outreach programs
  • Maintain and update investor presentations
  • Manage logistical coordination of conferences and non-deal road shows

Other

  • Assist in creating presentation materials for executive management
  • Serve as point of contact for external innovation sources, including surgeons, hospitals, universities, and entrepreneurs
  • Manage external innovation opportunity review in monthly IDEA meeting process

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required, MBA preferred
  • 3-7 years’ experience in corporate development, investment banking, investor relations, financial consulting or corporate financial analysis
  • Strong quantitative data analysis skills, including advanced Excel modeling skills
  • Proven track record of assessment of business and technology opportunities
  • Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily
  • Excellent communication (both oral and written), interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced, changing environment and be detail oriented.
  • Working knowledge of IFRS/GAAP accounting standards
  • Healthcare and specifically Medical Technology industry experience preferred
  • Willing to relocate to Audubon, PA area
  • Successful candidate is intellectually curious – someone who is motivated for high performance and has the ability to think creatively
  • Team player willing to contribute to success in a variety of roles
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with shifting and dynamic priorities
