Internal Communications Manager

Position Summary:

The Internal Communications Manager is will play a crucial role in enhancing internal communication strategies, supporting our Commercial and Product Development organizations. This individual’s primary focus will be creating and implementing effective communication plans that engage and inform employees at all levels. The Internal Communications Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and various departments to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with organizational goals.

Essential Functions:

  • Communication Strategy Development:
    • Collaborates with key stakeholders to develop and execute a comprehensive internal communication strategy aligned with the organization's commercial and product development objectives
    • Identifies communication needs and opportunities to enhance employee engagement and understanding of company goals
    • Understands the business and needs of the two most critical functions for the company (Commercial and Product Development), to be able to provide strategic counsel, accordingly
  • Content Creation and Distribution:
    • Crafts clear, compelling, and targeted communications for various channels, including email, intranet, town halls, and other relevant platforms
    • Ensures timely and consistent distribution of important announcements, updates, and information, primarily focused on our commercial and product development teams
  • Change Management Communication:
    • Supports the communication efforts related to organizational changes, initiatives, and strategic projects within the commercial and product development organizations
    • Helps leaders continue the work of integrating teams, resulting from recent acquisition and combining of teams from two legacy organizations
    • Assists in managing potential resistance and ensuring a smooth transition for employees
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Partners with HR, Marketing, Sales, and other departments to align internal communications with external messaging and branding efforts
    • Acts as a liaison between different teams to ensure a consistent and cohesive communication approach
  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies. Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
  • Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
  • Proven experience in internal communications, preferably within a commercial or business-oriented setting
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences
  • Familiarity with communication tools and platforms
  • Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment calmly and thoughtfully
  • Knowledge of change management principles and/or experience in helping organizations through a large, global integration/M&A transaction is a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
