Position Summary:

Globus Medical, Inc. (NYSE: GMED), is an innovative and fast-growing medical device company.  We are seeking a bright, motivated individual to join our Finance team! The ideal candidate is a self-starter, detail-orientated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task. Strong communication skills, dependability, flexibility and a willingness to learn and grow are important qualities to succeed in the role.  The Senior Tax Manager – Planning will be a key player in our day-to-day tax function, working directly with the Senior Director on special projects to develop, evaluate and implement tax planning initiatives across the Company. Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates with external advisors to evaluate the Company’s legal entity structure and recommends tax efficient improvements.
  • Works with business operation leaders to implement legal-entity rationalization strategies.
  • Possesses key involvement with Company merger and acquisition activities.
  • Possesses key involvement with transfer pricing analyses.
  • Assists Treasury colleagues with developing and implementing tax efficient cash strategies.
  • Coordinates with colleagues in Finance and IT to streamline and improve reporting processes.
  • Assists with special projects as requested by senior management.
  • Provides tax technical guidance to tax operating team including but not limited to US international tax, Worldwide tax reporting and provision issues
  • Effectively communicates strategies and progress to senior management.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies.
  • Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
  • Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting/Finance.
  • 8-12 years of multi-national corporate income tax experience, either in public accounting or in-house corporate tax department, US international tax, M&A and/or Transfer Pricing knowledge is required, Worldwide tax knowledge a pluc
  • Well organized, detail oriented and team player capable of working in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Strong functional knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Strong communication skills; experience
  • CPA, JD or Masters in Tax a plus.
