Position Summary:

The Production Planner will be responsible for developing and managing the manufacturing schedule across multiple product lines, ensuring supply to the market and minimizing backorders.  The individual will work to optimize operations to maximize efficiency and performance within the department.

Hours: 7:00 am - 4:00pm or 8:00 am to 5:00 pm 


Essential Functions:

  • Develops a production schedule, including identifying and tracking sub-assembly inventory levels to ensure timely supply to finished goods.
  • Utilizes forecasts and other inputs to accurately predict and prevent backorders and maintain target inventory levels.
  • Prepares and submits status performance reports and spreadsheets
  • Assists in coordinating workflow for multiple product lines.  Ensure products move through each production step in a timely manner.
  • Evaluates resource allocation to bottle-neck operations and re-direct work as needed
  • Ensures supply of components to support the production schedule.
  • Identifies, communicates, and escalates issues and risks to supply.
  • Evaluates resource capacity and impact of new products and/or increased demand
  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies. Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Production Planning experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of MS Office with strength in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in ERP systems preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong analytical mindset
  • Reliable, self-starter with the ability to work with little or no supervision
  • Able to handle multiple projects with varying deadlines and also an ability to adapt quickly to changing demands/needs
  • Attention to detail
