Position Summary:

The EDM Wire Operator wires and operates assigned machines to produce parts, all of which must meet the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawing. This effort includes, but is not limited to, conducting basic machine changeovers, accurately completing quality control documentation and inspection sheet. Assists operators in the diagnosis of part dimensional defects with experience on all platform operators. This individual works with other machine operators and management to ensure good manufacturing practices, inspection techniques, SOPs, and safety regulations every day.

Hours: 2:45 pm - 11:15 pm 

Essential Functions:

• Loads/unloads parts from machine; measures and inspects; resolves and communicates problems/issues to attention of the lead or set up operator
• Accurately completes all quality control documentation and inspection sheets
• Follows verbal and/or written instructions such as blueprints, traveler, work instruction, process specifications, sketches, and direction from supervisor in completing a variety of machining and inspection tasks
• Performs preventive maintenance
• Works efficiently to achieve targeted goals
• Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies. Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
• Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work under a microscope for an extended period of time
• Ability to read part drawings; above average manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
• Organized, team player with the ability to multi-task effectively
• Strong manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
• Intermediate math skills in geometric and trigonometric formulas a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Advanced critical thinking and problems-solving skills
