Position Summary:

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing level 1 and level 2 technical support to end-users via in-person, phone, email and web for corporate applications, tools, and troubleshooting for IT related hardware and software.

This effort includes, but is not limited to, providing support for Warehouse Operations and Field Sales personnel. This individual works with Field Sales, Customer Service, Inventory, Set Building, Receiving, Loaners, Returns, and Shipping to ensure IT systems are fully operational and supported.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides prompt and courteous technical support to customers via phone and e-mail
  • Acts as the IT site coordinator for Warehouse Operations by understanding business processes, listens to the voice of the customer, and conducts surveys.
  • Consults daily with business managers to understand the needs of the customer and to adequately plan, coordinates and resolves IT requests in a timely manner.
  • Routinely consults with business managers regarding site changes and projects so that IT support is aligned closely with all business-related initiatives.
  • Performs in-process testing of changes at peer level or during UAT testing phases for application changes.
  • Updates Wiki pages, user manuals or solution documents for general IT support or application enhancements.
  • Assists with IT onboarding and offboarding via liaison with HR and business managers.Coordinating with IT management regarding the procurement of hardware, software, asset management, license management, etc.
  • Coordinates with various IT teams (Program Dev, TechOps, Desktop Ops, SecOps, Audits, etc.) on a variety of projects; especially requirements gathering, testing, rollout, support, etc.
  • Supports dedicated site events; including, company staff meetings, physical inventory audits, etc.
  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies.
  • Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
  • Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

  • 2+ years of support/troubleshooting experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills, with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and/or part of a team.
  • Willingness and aptitude to learn new technologies/non-IT domains.
  • Experience with web-based IT systems.
  • Experience with online conferencing tools.
  • Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
