Lab Manager

Position Summary:
The lab manager role is a full-time position responsible for the efficient management and coordination of the day-to-day operations of the laboratory. The role requires a strong understanding of laboratory processes and protocols, excellent communication, meticulous attention to detail and commitment to safety. The role will be based out of Audubon, PA.
Essential Functions:
- Develops, maintains, and implements laboratory protocols and standard operating procedures
- Manages adequate documentation for GLP lab
- Oversees inventory management such as monitoring laboratory supplies, managing hazardous waste, planning orders, and ensuring availability of laboratory supplies
- Develops, reviews and trains lab personnel on procedures and test methods
- Performs basic mammalian cell culture and cell characterization experiments
- Maintains laboratory equipment and instruments, and ensures they are properly calibrated
- Oversees IQ/OQ/PQ on new equipment
- Maintains certification of lab equipment and assists with equipment maintenance
- Obtains proposals for new lab equipment
- Liaises with external vendors and suppliers
- Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies.
- Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
- Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Biology, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or related degree
- Prior biological/analytical lab experience is a must
- Experience with mammalian cell culture, and cell culture analysis is a must
- Familiarity with RT-PCR, ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Analytical HPLC, and Protein Chromatography is required
- Experience with LC-MS is preferred
- Attention to detail and strong record keeping skills
- Demonstrate ability to quickly learn and apply new techniques
