Position Summary:

The Document Specialist works within the Custom Engineering Group and reports to the Custom Engineering Group Manager. The Document Specialist directly interfaces with Product Development, Field Sales and the Custom Engineering Team by documenting custom requests, shipping finished instruments, assisting in the documentation of all aspects of the request’s lifecycle.  The candidate needs to have strong self-starting qualities to independently manage duties with little supervision.  

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Receiving and documenting incoming requests for custom surgical instruments
  • Assisting with all aspects of the custom instrument department
  • Communicating with other departments as necessary to provide updates and obtain needed information
  • Ensuring that required documents and paperwork are completed, accurate, and maintained on file
  • Inspecting and shipping completed instruments to the requestor
  • Participation to ensuring that office area is run consistent with in-house quality system
  • Interacting and assisting co-workers daily
  • Adhering to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies. Ensure Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
  • Representing the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties of Globus

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

  • 2+ years’ work experience; Preferably in a manufacturing, medical, or related field
  • BS Degree or equivalent required
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office products, specifically Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Multi-tasking abilities; Self-starter and self-motivating skills/ability
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to function well in fast paced environment
